"We visited at 3pm and were lucky enough to grab the “much special” – cod, chips and curry sauce – absolutely delicious! The fish was fresh, the batter crisp and light, and the curry sauce was spot on. Portions were generous and served piping hot. What really made the visit, though, was the service – extra friendly, welcoming, and you can feel it’s a proper family business with real pride in what they do. A fantastic gem in Burton and well worth the visit. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back!"

"Friendly staff, efficient service, amazing food. I came in on a busy Friday night with a queue out the door and they were well staffed, everyone knew exactly what they were doing. "Went lunchtime 24th Oct 25 on spec, wife and I had lunchtime special mini fish, chips and peas - batter on the fish thin and tasty (not greasy), fish flaky and moist, chips freshly cooked (not fatty), very tasty bargain lunch - staff friendly and helpful when choosing food, ate inside on one of two tables - shop clean - having been in Whitby recently found the food here far nicer than many establishments up there! - well done to management and staff"

"Say thank you after getting your order and add please and sorry as well, otherwise the long tall guy will shout at you. My mood was not good I was busy in mind and thinking about work, so I had no conversation with staff so the guy shouted at me. Why don't you said thank you and he shouted at me. But I don't mind I am meeting these kind of people in UK from last 2 years. It's my gratitude that's why I am giving them five star rating."
